Sapsons Hydraulic Cylinder/Jack is a lifting device that uses hydraulic pressure to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently in industrial and mechanical applications. It works on Pascal’s Law — when pressure is applied to a confined fluid, the pressure is transmitted equally in all directions, creating large lifting force.
It is commonly used in:
Construction sites
Workshops & garages
Heavy machinery maintenance
Bridge & structural lifting work
Main Components
Cylinder Barrel – Houses the hydraulic fluid and piston
Piston/Ram – Moves upward to lift the load
Hydraulic Pump – Creates pressure (manual or powered)
Release Valve – Controls lowering of the load
Oil Reservoir – Stores hydraulic oil
How It Works
Operator pumps the handle (or power unit activates pump).
Hydraulic oil flows into the cylinder.
Oil pressure pushes the piston upward.
Load is lifted.
Opening the release valve allows oil to return → piston lowers.
Sapsons offers a variety of Hydraulic Cylinder/Jacks :
1. Single-Acting Hydraulic Jack
Oil pressure lifts the piston
Spring or load weight returns piston
Common in general lifting tasks
2. Double-Acting Hydraulic Jack
Oil pressure controls both lifting and lowering
More precise control
Used in heavy industrial and construction work
3. Hollow Plunger Jack
Has a hollow center
Used for pulling, tensioning, and cable work
4.Center-Hole and pull-type cylinder
5. Custom cylinder made to specifications
Capacity Range
Hydraulic cylinder jacks are available in:
2 Ton – 10 Ton → Light workshop use
20 Ton – 50 Ton → Industrial use
100 Ton & Above → Heavy construction & bridge lifting
Advantages
✔ High lifting capacity
✔ Smooth and controlled operation
✔ Compact design
✔ Requires less manual effort
✔ Durable and long service life
Safety Tips
Always use on a flat, stable surface
Do not exceed rated capacity
Use proper support stands (never rely only on jack)
Check oil level and leakage before use
