A condenser tube expander expands the diameter of a tube’s end so that when it’s inserted into the holes of a tube sheet (a thick plate with multiple drilled holes), it tightly presses against the material of the sheet and doesn’t leak. This is crucial in heat transfer equipment (like condensers, boilers, radiators, coolers) were fluids flow at high pressure/temperature.

The tool is inserted into the end of a tube.
A mechanical or hydraulic expansion mechanism pushes outward (often using roller or mandrel systems).
The tube’s outer diameter increases slightly, pressing firmly into the tube sheet’s hole.
This creates a metal-to-metal seal that prevents leakage and ensures good heat transfer.

AN Series – Basic expanders for small tubes (oil coolers, radiators).
800 / 800-5 Series – Standard tools for many condenser and heat exchanger tubes; the 5 series often have five rollers for more uniform expansion, especially on thin-walled tubes.
1200 / 1200-5 Series – Longer reach and better control for thicker tube sheets; 5 series usually mean five-roller, more precise expansion.
8012 Series – Heavy-duty expanders for larger tubes and thick tube sheets used in boilers and industrial heat exchangers.
900 / 1300 Series – Additional size-specific options, mainly for smaller diameters or specific use cases.
